Character Profiles: Wildcard

Wildcard is the only male in the group. He is also aged 17/18 and his clothes are a little ripped and scruffy like everyone else's. Wildcard is the joker of the group and is the one who always lightens the mood and cheers everyone else up when they need it. Wildcard is very trusting in others, he doesn't believe that other humans could be so cruel to be the reason of all the devastation which is why he believes it must be aliens. He is also quite immature and random at times, he doesn't come off as intelligent but he can actually be really smart when he wants to be and isn't as immature as everyone thinks. However, he very rarely takes things seriously and tends to give a completely random facial expression for a serious situation. Wildcard generally subverts gender stereotypes as he is not the strong one in the group, in fact he is actually the weakest and needs the others more than they need him. Although he can't protect everyone else as well as they can protect themselves, he cares a lot about them and will always try his best to help if necessary.

Character Profiles: Kicker

Character Profiles: Kicker

Kicker is one of two more powerful members of the group, along side Twist. Kicker is also around 17/18 years old and looks a little bit scruffy. She is very authoritative when she wants to be and the other group members tend to listen to her and obey her. Kicker is usually quite serious and focused on the groups aim (finding out what has happened), however she sometimes will laugh along to jokes made by the others and be more relaxed. When she is focused. she can get quite irritated when others get distracted and wasting time, she is quite hopeful that everything will be alright if everyone worked together and was just as determined as her. Kicker doesn't really have a conspiracy theory about what has happened because she has more of a serious approach, however she does believe that was has happened is down to the selfishness of humanity. Kicker is more determined on finding out what has happened and trying to fix it rather than dwelling on what could have possibly caused it.

Character Profiles: Twist

Twist is aged 17/18. She is very independent and would happily do things alone, however she is the most intelligent in the group and she thinks the best thing for them to do is to just stick together. She isn't very talkative like the other characters, she likes to keep to herself most of the time, this is because she has very little trust in people and doesn't think she can trust anyone in this situation. Twist sometimes has outbursts at the other group members when they start acting immature (she is quite a mature character, sometimes a little too serious) and finds it extremely irritating when they start joking around about them being alone. Twist has quite a negative view of the world and very little faith in humanity, she believes the corrupt government is behind all the devastation and believes any one of the group members could be working for the government, this being the reason why she is cautious to seeing new people.

Character Profiles: Tilt

Character Profiles: Tilt

The main character is called Tilt, this is because "Tilt" is a gambling term and the whole film is based on a bet, so all the characters are named after gambling terms too. Another reason why we chose the name Tilt is because of it's definition, it means being emotionally upset, mental confusion or frustration which fits in with our character, Tilt's, traits. She is aged around 17/18 and looks a little scruffy. Tilt is a strong and independent, she is quite impatient and gets frustrated easily about the current situation she is in. She is determined to find out more about herself (since she has no memory) and what's happened to everyone else. She can also be quite short-fused when other members of the group get distracted from what's important to her (finding out what's happened). Twist hasn't thought of a conspiracy theory because she has only just found out what has happened so hasn't had a chance to process it and think of what could of caused it. She is quite intelligent but also naive and doesn't really understand why and what has happened.

Pre-Production Questionnaire

We put together a Questionnaire in order to find out more information about our potential audience and their reactions to our film plot. We asked them questions relating to the age rating and how they thought our film could be improved.
